We are a generation of mass consumers . We buy goods daily to support our convenient life styles. The by product of this process is the excessive waste that we all daily discard. The impact of this waste has become a global issue as our land and seas are becoming polluted by this discarded waste. In 2015 the Science Journal published a scientific study that concluded that 8 million tonnes of plastic enter our oceans every year. Our land and seas are becoming layered with this discard waste, which is having a devastating effect on the sustainable future of our planet.
This photographic essay visually documents some the items myself and my family discarded over a week. I have photographed them using multiple layering photographic techniques , to visually replicate the vast amounts of discarded waste layering our land and seas daily.
