The evolution of the mobile phone, has allowed people to instantly communicate with each other . The mobile phone, used in conjunction with social media sites, has allowed people to be in constant communication at any moment of the day.  This virtual interaction has influenced changes to peoples social behaviour. These changes have become so embedded in today's society that they are accepted as part of everyone's daily routine. These activities , such as constantly interacting with our mobile devices , disconnects people from reality . This disconnection has had a negative impact on the physical communication between people.    As a society we have become more detached and isolated from those around us.  The more we have become part of an interactive world, the more disconnected we have become from each other.

Observing every day life it is evident that our social behaviours are determined by the mobile devices in our hands. This Disconnected Photo Essay documents the behaviours that have become embedded into our daily lives, and visually captures the disconnection created by our obsessive use of our mobile phones.
